Job Description – Sr. Accounts Payable Processor

Candidate must have real experience handling high-volume accounts payable as a senior-level A/P processor. This is not an entry-level or general accounting role. We’re looking for someone who can take full ownership of the A/P process — from invoice entry to payment — in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You must be organized, accurate, and comfortable working independently. This position is based at PERC HQ in Fountain Valley, CA. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Employee Share Incentive Program. Fridays are remote.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as Sr. Accounts Payable Processor handling high volume of vendor invoices from entry to final payment.
• Perform the entire A/P function from inputting to review coding of vendor invoices and prepare weekly EFTs and check disbursement.
• Reconcile vendor statements to A/P system.
• Manage 1099 filing.
• Assist with performance of quarter-end internal testing procedures for A/P.
• Support senior management in special projects.
• Assist with external audits.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience
• Construction industry experience a plus
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• “Hands-on” style and detail-oriented approach to document preparation and/or review
• Good interpersonal skills with collaborative communication style
• Well organized, adept at managing peak workloads with an ability to meet deadlines.
• Previous experience with mid-sized ERP systems a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of high-volume A/P processing experience

Work Conditions

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
