The Senior Accountant is an integral part of the Promethean Accounting team. This role involves preparing various accounting entries and reconciliations as part of the month-end close to ensure accurate accounting records, as well as supporting other areas of the business on accounting matters. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong Excel skills, a knack for identifying efficiencies and process improvements, and the ability to work independently.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate accounting records
• Assist in the monthly close process, including preparing and reviewing supporting schedules
• Preparation of manual journal entries
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assistance with annual external audit(s)
• Assist with preparing and reviewing underlying support for SEC filings or reporting to related parties
• Provide financial information to Tax team to prepare tax returns
• Assistance with ad-hoc accounting-related projects, identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

Job Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 - 5+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills - both verbal and written
• Advanced Excel skills
• Accounting ERP and financial reporting tool experience
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Professional Finance qualification (e.g., CPA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) helpful but not required

Base Range: $73,000 - $92,000 + Bonus Eligible

For business reasons, Promethean does not employ individuals who work remotely in San Francisco, San Jose or Oakland.
