About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President for Manufacturing Operations to play a pivotal role in the end-to-end satellite manufacturing process. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the manufacturing execution and supply chain functions, ensuring operational excellence from concept to launch. This includes overseeing satellite production from prototype development to full-scale manufacturing, establishing and optimizing workflows, and implementing lean manufacturing and automation strategies. The role also involves developing and maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading the expansion efforts of production facilities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, industrial manufacturing, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing and operations leadership, preferably in high-growth environments. Applicants for the SVP, Manufacturing Operations position at the company should possess a strong background in satellite development, with a proven track record of scaling manufacturing and supply chain operations. Key qualifications include experience in strategic planning, budget management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to lead talent management and succession planning. The candidate must be adept at data-driven analysis, have strong communication and presentation skills, and be capable of fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency. A U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance are also essential.
