You’ll wear many hats across pre‑production, live production, and post. Ideal candidates live for news, thrive in the control room, and can direct, switch, run prompter, and guide talent. Responsibilities Pre: Research, curate clips and sound bytes for show, write and distribute rundowns, confirm and plan live ad reads for the show each day, pitch topics, pitch and book guests Live: Prep team, manage on screen appearance of host, manage show clock and segment timing, ensure top quality; write lower‑third headlines, assist with call in phone lines and screening when necessary Post: Route files to editors, choose and post social clips, write title and description for VOD show, ensure show is posted for VOD, write show summary for podcast version of the show Additional: Build news packages, edit for air, fill in as needed, monitor network quality and send notes to shows as needed, curate and post clips to social media, QC and check VOD content, plan shows for holidays, coordinate guest hosts for days that host is out, coordinate with Executive Network Producer on assignments and tasks as needed All tasks assigned by the Director of Network Operations and the Executive Network Producer.
