Piping Designer

Piping/Plumbing VDC/BIM Designer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Designer with a successful track record in either Piping or Plumbing design with BIM & VDC experience to join our team. This role involves utilizing advanced VDC and BIM technologies to design and model piping and plumbing systems for various commercial and industrial projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage 3D models for piping and plumbing systems using VDC and BIM tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Create detailed design documentation, including layouts, isometric drawings, and fabrication details.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Assist in the preparation of project estimates and schedules related to piping and plumbing installations.
• Support the construction team with technical guidance and troubleshooting during the installation phase.
• Stay updated on industry trends and software advancements to continuously improve design processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a VDC/BIM Designer with a focus on piping and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in VDC and BIM software, particularly Revit and Navisworks.
• Knowledge of plumbing and piping design principles and standards.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus.
• Familiarity with commercial, industrial, hydronic, and steam systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams.
