Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients at our front desk. The ideal candidate has excellent phone etiquette, familiarity with working in a medical office setting, and the ability to provide a welcoming and efficient experience for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for front desk receptionist duties, including answering phone calls, greeting patients, obtaining required patient information, and ensuring the entrance area is clean and organized.
• Assist patients with scheduling appointments.
• Effectively maintain on-time appointment schedules by notifying providers when patients have arrived.
• Retrieve and file patient records as needed.
• Collect payment from patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records by updating patient information and scanning documents into EMR as needed.
• Protect patient rights by maintaining the confidentiality of patient records.
• Contribute to team effort by assisting with additional duties and when support is requested.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong communication and phone etiquette.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for patient care.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus.
