A growing company is looking to hire Accounts Payable Specialist with 1+ years of experience.

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. In this entry-level position, you will play a crucial role in managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in accounting and finance within a supportive environment.

Duties

• Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy in coding and entry into the accounting system.
• Assist in the preparation of payment runs, including checks and electronic payments.
• Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions and vendor communications.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Support month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries related to accounts payable.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary documentation for payments.
• Assist with tax-related inquiries and benefits administration as required.
• Utilize accounting software such as PeopleSoft, UltiPro, Ceridian, ADP, or Kronos for various accounts payable tasks.

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software is a plus
• Strong understanding of journal entries and basic accounting principles.
• Ideally 1 year of experience in accounts payable but accounts receivable will also be accepted.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
