We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team located in Lake Mary, FL.

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of applications developed for our clients. As a team member, you will receive direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

Here are our requirements:

• 10+ years of diverse experience in information technology required.
• Database knowledge with strong SQL skills like Oracle, Sql Server, etc
• Hands-on experience in scripting or programming languages like Python, Perl, Shell scripting, etc
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab
• Experience working with IBM MQ, ETL tools like Pentaho, and Snowflake is preferred
• Monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Prometheus, Splunk, Cloud Probes & Moog or equivalent
• Experience automating deployments and other repetitive tasks
• Experience with support activities like platform administration, deployments, upgrades, and understands & troubleshoots issues when incidents are reported in the platform.
• Experience in external and internal cloud
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Proficiency in using the JIRA and Confluence
• Experience in vulnerability management.
• Ability to produce system documentation, including operational specifications, test plans, and system architecture, with attention to detail.

System Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Continuously monitor system performance and availability.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively to ensure system reliability.

Incident Management:

• Respond to and resolve incidents promptly.
• Conduct post-incident reviews to prevent future occurrences.

Automation and Tooling:

• Develop and maintain automation tools to streamline operations.
• Implement automated solutions for repetitive tasks.

Performance Optimization:

• Analyze system performance metrics.
• Optimize system performance to meet service-level objectives.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Unix systems, including shell scripting and Python programming.
• Strong SQL skills, with experience in both transactional and analytical (big data) databases.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana, and Moogsoft.
• Experience with service management tools like ServiceNow and Remedy.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and AI is a plus.
• Highly important: Demonstrates ownership and the ability to work independently, with a problem-solving mindset rather than just following orders. Must be intellectually curious and committed to continuous learning.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $ 73,008 to $ 170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
