📍 Job Details:

• Job Title: Payroll Assistant ( $15 to $24 per hour )
• Location: New York, NY 10004 (On-site at Jacobi location – 100% onsite, no remote option )
• Start Date: 06/02/2025
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours per Day: 7 hours/day (1-hour unpaid lunch)

🎓 Education & Certifications:

• Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
• Certifications/Skills Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

💼 Skills & Technical Proficiencies: Required:

• 1+ year payroll experience
• Payroll processing (hourly/salaried employees)
• Wage garnishment handling
• Data auditing and integrity maintenance
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for both hourly and salaried staff
• Administer and process wage garnishments accurately
• Review and process payroll property transfer reports
• Verify benefit deductions for accuracy
• Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure data accuracy
• Create training materials, job aids, and internal memos
• Support orientation activities for new hires
• Collaborate with HR, training, and payroll teams to document procedures
• Communicate updates and changes to payroll processes across the organization
